Asia’s Longest Suspension Bridge in Mountainous Areas Opens in SW China
Longjiang grand bridge, Asia’s longest suspension bridge in mountainous areas opened in southwest China’s Yunnan province on April 20, 2016.
Linking cities of Baoshan and Tengchong, the bridge has a length of over 2,470 meters and a height of 280 meters. It has cost 1.9 billion yuan (over 300 million USD) to bring the bridge to completion, and will become a juncture between southwest China’s Yunan province and India via Myanmar.
The remarkable bridge over Longjiang River is also expected to offer drivers breathtaking views of the amazing natural scenery all around.
